Velvet Underground is a nightclub that you will never forget (what’s the name again? Haha!) Chic, hip and artsy…tastefully decorated. This is one of the 2 hippest night club in the whole of Singapore (well, at least at the moment) and a visit here is a MUST. Think the 60's, think big loungy sofas and chill out sounds to pump your blood and fuel you to go up and about to display yourself for all the equally gorgeous people to see.

This is obviously a very exclusive club. But of course beautiful people like us are most welcome there. Velvet also serves as a display cabinet and hunting ground of local celebrities, models and wanna be starlets.

The sound is generally House, garage house or progressive house on the dance floor. But you will also hear other genres on some nights. The main room of the Velvet Underground is where most people will gather and the dance floor is always crowded in this club.

Velvet Underground is located at 17 Jiak Kim St...in the same complex with Zouk Singapore and Phuture. I featured Velvet because their music fits me best. Zouk and Phuture plays more on the Hip Hop/Trip Hop genre with a really boom-boom bass! Cool stuff! This complex is a one stop shop for party goers. More venue, more people to watch, more area to display yourself. You can't go wrong with this place. -- TAKE THAT!

BEST CLUBS in SE ASIA: Zouk Club KL

I lived in Kuala Lumpur for 2 years and I often come back because I have made a lot of friends who I met in hip & chic clubs around the city. Kuala Lumpur is a real treat to club goers. They usually close around 3-4am and often they will not close until the last clubber had left.

Unlike Bangkok, which is considered to be one of the world's happening cities, they close around 1am -- which is a bugger!

ZOUK CLUB KL is one of Southeast Asia's best club. This is where the fabs and the gorgeous go. If you wanna be seen...this is the place to be. Zouk is a French Creole word for "PARTY".

So, by the name itself, you know what to expect. The main genre is House Music and some Mambo Jambo the DJs play which is a little peculiar to the theme. Zouk KL let's the best DJs in the world spin on event nights.

Located in the very hip Ampang Road just a block away from the Petronas Towers. People gather around the entrance first. This is very good in prospecting your "meat" for the night. PLU crowd is very visible here (just as any other place anyway!). They are usually the best looking people around. Don't mind the inappropriately-dressed others, they make a good background for the most gorgeous guys. Just as the "fatty-maidens" will make an excellent contrast to the sexy women. I LOVE 'EM! (greed kicking in :-)
