WHY THEY DON'T NEED TRUCKS IN VIETNAM

While the rest of us scruffle over to shake heaven and hell hoping to find a truck and haul our stuffs...here's how our innovative Vietnamese brothers do it. No sweat.

They don't really need trucks over there, do they?...

He's practically sitting on the girl!

Well, I'll be damned!

There's actually 2 of them on that bike.

I think he dropped his cargo.

And he can still smoke, eh?

I told him pink is not his color.

She likes her pictures taken. You go girl!

Hey! That shark should be wearing a helmet!

"What do you mean traffic? I ordered a block of ice...not an ice cube!"

I wanna see him turn at the corner.

Green is definitely his color!

"Is that Babe?!!"

"I won't count my chicks before delivery."

On her way to KFC.

He's so into himself, isn't he?

If they don't need trucks in Vietnam...what're these for?

Simply amazing!

Amazing, all right. Though it may cause lot of inconvenience as shown in pics #2 and #10, of if something falls out like in pics #7 and #13.

Had a chuckle. This kind of transportation is strongly frowned upon and discouraged by the Vietnamese authority. However, it is still going on every where. It goes to show necessity makes people do extraordinary things.

It only shows how some ASEAN countries still need to implement and enforce more humane animal welfare laws. I find the pictures transporting pigs and chickens in the way depicted as disturbing. My only consolation is to think that they are not travelling long distances.

Part of Section 4 of the Animal welfare act in the Philippines states.

"... No cruel confinement or restraint shall be made on such animals while being transported.

Any form of cruelty shall be penalized even if the transporter has obtained a permit from the Bureau of Animal Industry. Cruelty in transporting includes overcrowding, placing of animals in the trunks or under the hood trunks of the vehicles."

However I believe the animal welfare laws in the Philippines are not being fully enforced and I also saw animals being transported in a similar fashion to the Vietnam pictures you have posted.

Just my thoughts...

Before I get accused of Asian Bashing. I am also very much against Australia's Live Cattle/Sheep Export Industry and the consequential suffering that this entails.

...and i don't want to be a pig or a chicken in Vietnam for my next life(if there's one hehe)

...how can that man drive with all the hoops up his chest(or neck?).

@ Manami...these moto drivers are professionals! They can even drive fast with all thos cargo!

@ Nam...only in Vietnam :-)

@ Jessekuma...hmmm...here we are again. LOL. I always believe animal fate is the same as human fate. Some live a good life, some don't.

@ Aries...you should see how they transport beby pigs in Mindanao Island! They wrap 'em with banana tree bark, tied really tight and voila! Baby pigs yelling their lungs out.

This is something the racers in The Amazing Race should drive. It'll be quite a challenge for them, I bet. :)

Amazing!!!

And I thought that Indonesia is the only country in the world where you can see 3 persons on a single motorcycle! They've got 5 in Vietnam!! Almost all of the acts on these photographs are illegal, even in Indonesia! Bravo, Vietnam! Just...be safe, okay!
