BISEAN GOES CAMBODIA!

When I was a kid, mother used to say: “All people in the world are born kind. But the Italians, the Laotians, the Norwegians and the Cambodians are the kindest.

Of course this is a maternal opinion being passed onto an offspring. But who don’t listen to their mothers? – well, I do. When I was about to go onto a grand tour of Southeast Asia when I was 17… she reminded me of the phrase above. She also added that if I meet these people, I should treat them with utmost respect and appreciate their character for I will learn a lot from them.

Sofia, Morgan, Sucre, Tommy and me arrived this morning in Phnom Penh, the capital of the beautiful Kingdom of Cambodia. We will stay here for a week and share with you all the amazing things that we see. 5 Eurasians with the longest legs in Southeast Asia will show you how beautiful this kingdom is. Oh this is gonna be fun! Woohoo!

Watch out for updates!

Yay! I've been to Cambodia once (Siem Reap), and your mom sure got it right Pisanu, I personally thought the Khmers I got to meet were an even more soft-spoken and mild-mannered lot than the Thais. [to Pisanu & Sofia - PEACE.] Heheh.

Anyway, hope you have a blast there guys! We'll be a-waitin' for your updates! Do feature Angkor soon! :)

I'm jealous. :) Wanna go around too. Haha.

@Pisanu - It's a chartered city, so we bow down to no governor. Hehe. Our Mayor is Celso Lobregat. :)

I worked with a Cambodian diplomat in 2005.. VERY NICE GUY! One of the nicest diplomats I ever met aside of course from the Sri Lankan ambassador and the former First Secretary of Singapore Embassy. The Indonesian diplomat meanwhile is a very jovial man, while I feel something craven with the Myanmar diplomat.

That's very sweet of you to write the above quote.. I've always known that.. Cambodians are one of the sweetest people in the world.. :) Hehehe..
