Tata was born Amita Marie Young on 14 December 1980 in Bangkok to a Thai mother and an American father. She started her career at age 11 and by the age of 14, she was already a superstar.

Her very first music album sold more than a million copies in 90 days. All her succeeding albums surpassed the million mark to the very latest ones. Her very first film earned her a Best Actress award. And she has graced the cover of every prestigious magazines in the land.

Tata was the best pop music ambassador in Thailand’s history. She was chosen by foreign governments like China, Japan and Australia to perform in concerts. Sold out performances in Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Korea, Singapore and many others cemented her Asian Pop Superstar status. Tata was voted as one of the 100 Sexiest Women in the World 3 years in a row.
